Unique Classic For Sale

Rare Opportunity to Purchase an immaculate Broom Admiral

It is an absolute honour to be asked by a previous customer to market his classic Broom Admiral.  Katinka is unique and in immaculate condition.  Privately commissioned by Professor Jack Mayne of Cambridge in 1960 she has remained in the factory wet boathouse and maintained by Brooms for fifty two years with any work that has been required during her lifetime being carried out by the Broom factory boatbuilders.  Since her launch in 1961 she has only cruised a total of 778 hours.

Constructed of mahogany on oak frames, a bespoke build strengthened and lengthened for coastal voyages to enable exploring the numerous rivers and inland waterways around the UK.  Completely varnished to the waterline and antifouled below, with varnished top sides and cabin sides she is a stunning craft at 43ft in length.

Amazingly, she still retains all her original fixtures and fittings but now benefitting from new and sympathetic upgrades including newly fitted galley with fridge freezer, combination cooker and hob, Webasto warm air heating and electric heads.  For more information and pictures take a look at her listing in the "Used Boat" section or her dedicated website www.norfolkclassicboats.com
